Op. Dr. Emran Kuzey Avcı, 1991 yılında Bulgaristan'da doğdu. Tıp eğitimini Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde ve genel cerrahi uzmanlığını İzmir Tepecik Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde tamamladı. Bu süre zarfında, hem yurtiçinde hem de yurtdışında cerrahi teknikler ve gelişmeler üzerine birçok eğitim programına katıldı. Çeşitli kongrelerde aktif olarak yer aldı ve uluslararası dergilerde birçok çalışması yayımlandı. İlgi alanları arasında onkolojik cerrahi, laparoskopik cerrahiler, karaciğer-pankreas ve safra kesesi hastalıkları ve kolorektal cerrahilerbulunmaktadır.
Kendisi, Geriatrik Cerrahi Derneği'nin kurucu başkanıdır ve aktif olarak görevine devam etmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra, birçok dernek ve organizasyonda da görev alarak mesleki sorumluluklarını sürdürmektedir.
