Dr.Emin Alp ALAYUNT's involvement in pediatric surgery started when he was sent to MAYO Clinic Rochester Minnesota between October – November 1988. During his time at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. He had the opportunity to watch Gordon Danielson and Francisco Puga. Since 09/06/1992, he started to perform pediatric congenital heart surgeries on his behalf.
Between November 1993 and January 1994, at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Dr. He worked with William Norwood. In 1998, in order to go out of the standard pediatric case scale and to treat especially complex cardiac/pulmonary anomalies, Dr. He stayed at UCSF San Francisco for 3 months to watch Frank Henley.
Beyond performing pediatric surgeries, he felt the need to institutionalize so that his education could be done in a safe and quality way, and he formed a team of competent friends in the university, thus pediatric cardiovascular surgery was actually institutionalized. In 1-2-2010, he returned to the university full-time in line with the sanctions of the current laws and regulations. He left the university on 30-12-2010 and started to work in the private sector. He still performs both adult and pediatric surgeries in Izmir Private Gazi Hospital.
